The healthcare system needs more than a bandaid.
I’ve been learning about those specialties recently and feel that they play an important part of the wellness landscape but are largely underutilized in traditional healthcare networks.
Complimentary service providers can help with hormone imbalances and lifestyles modifications to keep you healthy and feeling your best. Hormones play a big part in regulating your overall health. For many hormone imbalances are not an obvious health issue until changes in reproductive health become noticeable but hormones can effect your health status at any age.
Medical Doctors vs. Wellness
Medical doctors are well trained to intervene when your health fails and are experts at advancing medical research. Turning medical doctors into wellness gurus does not make the best use of their expertise. However, finding a way to integrate wellness into healthcare is needed and makes sense – at least to me.
A lot of wellness companies are focused on genetics and health coaching. The science behind much of the genetic testing isn’t ready yet to put into clinical practice, which is why it has found a place in some of the new scientific wellness companies.

What is clear to most Americans…
Maintaining the status quo in healthcare is not an option and passing the “hot potato” as I have referred to medical risk is not a solution. We can’t financially engineer our way out of the problem because there is just too much medical risk [aka: sick people] in America. That’s why wellness is becoming increasingly important.
I am a big believer in the value of fitness. If you follow Hello Workout posts than you know, every post gives you a new explanation of why exercise is important to your health and wellbeing. However, I realize there are limits to what exercise alone can do.
Foundation for good health
Everyone needs a foundation of health and some times they need help building or restoring the foundation. Let’s face it – life can be a bitch. Add a hormone imbalance into the mix and you’ve got a recipe for disaster [aka: major health event]! The good news is that there are a lot of professionals who can help prevent a major health issue.
Complimentary health providers may be the right answer for wellness.
