Five unique things to do to recharge in Los Cabos.
If you’re planning a winter vacation in Los Cabos, add these five unique experiences to your list of things to do.
When to go
If you do a search, December through May will likely result because the rainy season starts in July and ends in October. However, according to the staff at Nobu, the hotel is busy year round.
The beauty alone is reason enough to visit but easy of access is another. It’s a direct flight from most West Coast cities as well as other major airline hubs. If you’re flying over the holiday season or doing a short trip, direct flights reduces the risk of cancelations and other issues.
Where to stay
The Nobu Resort was recommended by a few friends and for good reason. It’s relatively new and definitely offers a unique experience.
The grand entrance will quickly transport your mind to vacation mode. The resort is located on a long beach with breath taking views that is perfect for morning walks, lounging and taking in sunsets.
There are a variety of rooms and suites with different features and price points. The swim up rooms are uniquely special. The outdoor area serves almost like a cabana with a private plunge pool. However, the pool connects to the common pool with jacuzzis and cabanas.
What to do
1/ Breakfast for two on the beach
Breakfast is served in one of the private beach front cabanas. It’s a great way to break a fast or experience in a new cuisine. Take the leftovers and store them in your bar fridge.
2/ Nobu cooking school
Learn how to make different styles of rolls with the Nobu sushi chefs. Enjoy a glass of wine while you cook and then enjoy the fruits of your labor. It’s a once in a lifetime experience whether you’re a foodie or not. No prior cooking skill required.
3/ Cabana day at the pool
Enjoy a full day at the pool with one of the super cabanas. The super cabanas have outdoor and indoor showers, a bathroom and lounge where you eat and relax poolside. It’s a nice place to entertain new friends as well.
4/ Dune buggy on the beach
Dune buggies are the second most popular experience after zip lining. Dress to get dirty and if it’s really dry, a face mask is not a bad idea. If you have neck, back or joint issues, dune buggies might not be the best choice of things to do. Consult your physician.
Book with Cabo Adventures to meet Linda, a young rescue camel. She loves carrots and enjoys a gentle ear scratch. It’s a highlight for animal lovers.
5/ Bonfire on the beach
Bonfires on the beach are carefully permitted for environmental reasons, so they’re not always available. Inquire and cease the moment when you can do it. Bonfires are a really special vacation experience especially for city dwellers. Book the experience for 30-60 minutes prior to sunset.
